For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
Why Volunteer?
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our church family. Everything we do—from greeting at the door to working in the nursery or helping behind the scenes—depends on people who are willing to give their time and hearts to serve.
We know volunteering can be challenging at times, and often the work happens quietly without much recognition. But every act of service matters. When you serve, you’re not just helping things run smoothly—you’re worshiping God through your actions and making a real difference in people’s lives.
Volunteering is also one of the best ways to feel connected. You’ll build friendships, grow in your faith, and become part of something bigger than yourself as you serve alongside others who love the Lord and love this church.

Pastor Terry Skidmore– Volunteer Ministry Leader

Pastor Terry has a true servant’s heart and a passion for helping others get involved in hands-on ministry. He oversees several key areas of service at Cornerstone, including Church Work Days, the Firewood Ministry, Hearts with Hands, the SEAT and Usher Teams, and the Van Ministry. He also serves as interim discipleship facilitator.
Whether it’s organizing a project, coordinating a team, or lending a hand himself, Pastor Terry leads by example. His desire is to see every volunteer discover the joy of serving—both inside the church and out in the community. Through his leadership, these ministries not only meet practical needs but also share the love of Christ in real and meaningful ways.

Serve in our church
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Colossians 3:23-24

Nursery Workers and Van Drivers Needed
There are always opportunities to serve here at the church! We’re currently looking for helping hands in the nursery to care for our little ones, and for volunteers to drive the church van or ride along to assist. Whether you enjoy working with children or helping others get to church safely, your service makes a big difference.

How do I volunteer with kids?
If you love working with kids and want to make a difference in their lives, we’d love to have you join our Children’s Ministry team! Serving with our kids is fun, rewarding, and a great way to help them grow in their faith.
For the safety of our children, some volunteer roles may require a background check — but don’t worry, the process is simple. Just connect with our Children’s Leader, Kassie Wilson, and let her know you’re interested in serving. She’ll help you find the best fit for your gifts and schedule.
