Praise and Worship

Christ's response to the Samaritan woman directs our vision and focus of worship at Cornerstone Fellowship.
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (John 4:23)
We believe worshiping in "spirit" happens regardless of the physical location, but instead reflects the unseen things: the condition of the heart ("true worshipers"); the brokenness before God; the relationship of the worshiper to God ("worship the Father"). "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)
Jesus directs us to worship the omni-present Spirit on His terms, not ours- in His realm (of spirit, heart, will, and soul), and not ours (of musical styles, buildings, ceremonies and traditions). Worship is bringing your best to God in every aspect of your life. The only important part that "style" has in worship is that it must be a life-style. The Cornerstone worship service will typically include both contemporary and traditional worship songs and hymns accompanied by various instruments and choir.
